We stayed at the Wayfarer for four nights, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Kathy and Barry are terrific hosts and excellent company. They helped us to get settled in very smoothly, gave some great advice on what places to visit and how to get there, and when we saw them in the mornings and bumped into them on one or two evenings, we had some pleasant and uplifting conversations. They offer many breakfast options to cater to a wide range of tastes and diets, and the quality of the cooking was first rate. We started each day off in the best way after a meal at the Wayfarer. The location is also perfect for visitors, no matter what you’re in Torquay to do. It’s a short walk from the train station, very close to the beach and the waterfront, has bus options to great destinations (like Kents Cavern) just around the corner, and a great deal more. Add to that the supremely comfortable beds, and you have a flawless B&B. It would be my first recommendation for anyone wishing to visit Torquay, and I look forward to using it again when we do so again.
I have just returned from an excellent weekend break with friends at the Wayfarer Guest House. Kathy and Barry were super hosts and made our stay just perfect. Rooms, Breakfast and location all 5 Star We will definitely be back. Wayne.
Kathy & Barry were superb hosts from greeting to departure. Their Hotel is in a prime location for all local Torquay attractions. The Hotel itself is homely and spotless. We were made to feel so welcome and nothing was any trouble. The breakfast and personal service from both Kathy & Barry was first class. Attention to detail was superb along with the choice and quality of the breakfast. Great place to have as a base. Hosts are friendly and helpful, all the house is spotless and a great full English breakfast cooked for you. Easy access to Harbour and town and eats. Bed was comfy good TV full WiFi, room is sorted everyday. Will deffo come again.
Fabulous guest house, great hosts, Barry and Kathy, very pleasant and accommodating, rooms are spotless, with tea/ coffee facilities. We had Barry come out to us when we sat out at the front with coffee. We enjoyed our stay and would well recommend them again. Wishing them well for the future
Wayfarers House is a beautiful hotel. We can recommend it with best grades, nice and comfortable rooms. Karthy and Barry are always helpful and polite. They provide an excellent variety of breakfast.
We visited Wayfarer Guest House early July for a few days. Kathy and Barry were excellent hosts, warm and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble, they looked after us as if we were part of the family!! We thoroughly enjoyed our home cooked breakfast every morning. Everything was unbelievably clean. Location was quite central, only 10 minute walk from the station. We highly recommend this lovely guest house and will definitely visit again
We stayed in the Wayfarer for 3 nights and found the guesthouse to be very homely. The staff could not do enough for you. I normally would have taken a photo of the breakfast but they were so good I was half way through eating it before I remembered. A very enjoyable stay and it will be the first of many.
